B's Kitchen Office
My kitchen is my weekend office as well as the place where I imagine, execute and devour my culinary creations. I am currently typing away at my keyboard and sitting on my kitchen stool whilst surrounded by a garlic infused haze produced by the arrabiata sauce I have cooking on the stove. I feel the most comfortable in my Leeds office and kitchen space. I can ponder over recipe ideas, produce my podcasts and watch the bubbling pots of stews, broths and meaty triumphs that I prepare each day. At the weekend I write all of my mishaps and successes down on my laptop while it rests on my granite kitchen work surface. I believe it is of the utmost importance to record the things I have made because I can refer back to them at a later date, add to them or adjust them whenever I want. My eventual aim is to compile my recipes into a cookery book and find a publisher to get them onto bookshelves across the country. Everyone eats and everyone needs a little inspiration on occasion when the traditional meat and two veg route sounds dull and depressing. I have lots of ideas to get people back into the kitchen and my colourful recipes include vibrantly flavoured cous-cous, tempting salads laced with delicious dressings and homely meat pies made with prime cuts of tender beef and real ale. I am, however, open to all sorts of recipe suggestions, having recently received a fantastic idea directly e-mailed to me from an executive suite in Manhattan.
